Mari and I have always had a passion for growing, and more particularly growing our own food.
We both strongly believe in clean growing and honesty. The result is product and people of integrity.
I was raised with agriculture (small scale) and really loved to get up each morning to see how much things had grown.
Over the years we have grown in a number places but always we feel we had to grow something, and grow the best we know how.
In our progression in life and experiences, we did go through the Organic Certification process and were officially certified for a few years.
What we learned is, it is mostly a racket where you (the farmer) can say you are satisfied it is Organic, and that is in most cases enough.
This didn't seem right to us and so gave up the certification but kept the same practices.
We follow very closely with what we feel in our heart is true Organic but have little reason to have some organization hand us a paper of approval after we pass what they deam to be enough and correct.
We are very proud of what we grow and how we grow it, and we feel that is what matters most.
